| HOW DID YOU GET STARTED AS A DJ? |
| In 1993 I initiated my career as a Mobile
DJ, after needing a part-time job to supplement my career change.
So I answered an ad to be a part-time Club DJ, working clubs in
Boson, Newport and Providence. Within a couple years, I
began doing Weddings again, but this time as a DJ instead of a
photographer. |
|
| |
| It was no doubt a strange turn of events
how I wound up back doing Weddings again, but here I am, and
I love working each Wedding, whether as a DJ or a Photographer. |
|
| |
| My photographic career began as a Wedding
photographer, then over time transitioned through gallery / art
work, exhibitions, product, portrait, architectural, post-production,
then ultimately back into Wedding and art work. |
| |
| DO YOU HAVE ANY SPECIAL TRAINING
AS A DJ? |
| In the Summer 2002, I graduated Connecticut
School of Broadcasting, having attended with the intention of better
developing my skills in broadcast and entertainment technique.
In Fall of 2002, I finished a 6 month term at WBZ News Radio AM1030
in Boston, further adding to my experience in broadcasting. Both
of those experiences have proven to be extremely educational, fantastic
, and most memorable working among some of this country's best
radio and tv personalities. |
| |
| CAN YOU DESCRIBE
YOUR GENERAL DJ STYLE? |
| Generally, I do not specialize in any
one genre of music. I try to play to my crowd, play to my bridal
clients who have hired me. My library is vast and always growing.
I do not take breaks where the music will cease, and I do not bring
props or any light kits. Lastly - 'REQUEST
LISTS' and 'DO NOT PLAY' lists
are always welcomed - These are valuable DJ tools. |
| |
| HOW HAS YOUR DJ STYLE
TAKEN SHAPE OVER THE YEARS? |
| I am still as reserved as when I started
behind the microphone, but it is derived from my sense of respect
and honor of the Wedding couple, and their enjoyment of being the
center of attraction on their Wedding day, rather than my introversion. |

| |
| DO YOU SHOOT DIGITAL OR FILM? |
| I have owned and experimented with nearly every
variety of photographic format, just recently finishing an 8 year term
in large format / architectural work. My newer work is now all digital,
much less structured or traditional, but much more creative. |
| |
| WHAT OTHER
INDUSTRIES OF PHOTOGRAPHY HAVE YOU WORKED WITHIN? |
| Before becoming a DJ, I spent 10 years as a Wedding
photographer. Since then / during my DJ work, I've worked in Architectural
/ Magazine , many years in Portraits, a few years each in Product,
Industrial, Commercial, all the while shooting Weddings and Artwork
for gallery and art exhibits throughout New England and New York. |
| |
| I ASSUME
YOU DO WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY? |
| I never really gave it up, rather just concentrated on
other realms of my work. However, I am now once again offering Wedding
Photography through my combined naturally artful / creative eye and
natural photo-journalistic approach. Shooting exclusively digital,
capturing the Wedding is half the work. The remaining work begins in
manipulating all the images within my digital-darkroom, creating beautifully
unique interpretations of the Weddings I am hired to photograph. |

I FIND SAMPLES OF YOUR WEDDING / PORTRAIT WORK? |
